Fresh Start Recovery Center exists to give individuals and families something they deserve and have too often been denied -- addiction treatment they can actually trust. We are a licensed residential treatment facility in Prestonsburg, Kentucky, built on faith, integrity, and a genuine commitment to lasting recovery.
A Program Built the Right Way
Fresh Start Recovery Center was founded by people who understand addiction from the inside out -- individuals who have lived it, worked in it, and seen firsthand what real recovery looks like. Our team brings years of personal and professional experience in substance use disorder treatment. and we built this program because our community deserves better.

We exist to fill a real gap -- not just in services, but in trust. Families deserve a program that does what it says, treated people with dignity, and operates with complete integrity. That is not a selling point for us. It is a standard we hold ourselves to every single day.

Our approach blends proven 12-step principles with professional clinical care and genuine faith-based support -- addressing the whole person, not just the addiction. AODE licensed and ASAM 3.5/3.1 certified. Our programs meet the highest standards of addiction treatment care in Kentucky.
Medicaid Accepted
We accept Kentucky Medicaid and work with every client to navigate their coverage options. Cost should never be a barrier to getting help.
We currently offer ASAM 3.5 and 3.1 Residential Levels of Care, Dual Diagnosis Treatment, Individual and group therapy, and family support services. Intensive Outpatient, Outpatient Services and Aftercare programs are coming soon -- building out the full continuum of care our clients deserve.
