A Program Built the Right Way
Fresh Start Recovery Center was founded by people who understand addiction from the inside out -- individuals who have lived it, worked in it, and seen firsthand what real recovery looks like. Our team brings years of personal and professional experience in Substance Use Disorder treatment, and we built this program because our community deserves better.
We exist to fill a gap -- not just in services, but in trust. Families deserve a program that does what it says, treats people with dignity, and operates with complete integrity. That is not a selling point for us. It is a standard we hold ourselves to every single day.
Our approach blends proven 12-step principles with professional clinical care and genuine faith-based support -- addressing the whole person, not just the addiction. From the moment someone walks through our doors, they are not a case number. They are a person with a story, a family, and a future worth fighting for.

Mission
To provide honest, effective, and compassionate addiction treatment that families can trust -- delivering excellent care in a community that has long been underserved and proving that recovery is possible for anyone willing to take the first step. Everything we do is rooted in faith, built on integrity, and driven by the belief that every day is a fresh start.

Our vision is to set a new standard for addiction treatment by creating a place where healing is real, hope is restored, and every individual is empowered to rebuild their life with purpose, dignity, and lasting freedom.

Our Treatment Philosophy
How We See Addiction
At Fresh Start Recovery Center, we approach addiction as what the science tells us it is -- a complex, chronic, and treatable condition. Not a moral failure. Not a character flaw. A condition that responds to structured, compassionate, evidence-based care delivered by people who genuinely understand it.
The Whole Person
We treat the whole person -- mind, body, and spirit. Most individuals who come to us carry trauma, mental health challenges, and years of unaddressed pain alongside their substance use. Our programs are designed to address all of it, not just the presenting diagnosis.
Faith & Clinical Care
We integrate the proven structure of the 12-step model with professional treatment and a genuine faith-based foundation. We believe in the transformative power of faith, community, and accountability -- and we believe that a structured treatment program and a God-centered approach are not in conflict. At Fresh Start, they strengthen each other.
Individualized Care
No two people arrive at our door the same way, and no two treatment plans look exactly alike. Every client receives a comprehensive assessment upon admission, and every treatment plan is built around that individual's specific history, needs, and goals. We do not run people through a program. We build a program around each person.
Staff Experience
Our team is composed of licensed professionals with real-world experience in addiction treatment -- many of whom bring their own understanding of recovery to the work. That combination of professional expertise and lived experience shapes everything about how we engage with the people in our care.

We do not measure success by beds filled or days completed. We measure it by lives changed -- and we build everything around that.
Licensed, Certified & Accountable
Fresh Start Recovery Center meets all state and federal requirements for operating a substance use disorder treatment facility in Kentucky. Our licensure and certifications are not a formality -- they are a baseline we maintain and build on as a reflection of our commitment to quality care.
AODE Licensed
Licensed by the Kentucky Office of Drug Control Policy as an Alcohol and Other Drug Entity (AODE).
ASAM Level 3.5
Certified to provide Clinically Managed High-Intensity Residential Services -- our primary level of care.
ASAM Level 3.1
Certified to provider Clinically Managed Low-Intensity Residential Services for clients at this level of need.
Medicaid Enrolled
Enrolled with Kentucky Medicaid. We accept coverage and work with clients to navigate their benefits.
Staff Qualifications
All staff hold the licensure and certifications required by Kentucky state regulations for their respective roles. Our team participates in ongoing professional development and training to remain current on best practices in addiction treatment, trauma-informed care, and mental health treatment.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
Fresh Start operates under a comprehensive quality assurance framework. We conduct regular internal reviews of our programs, documentation, and practices to ensure ongoing compliance with AODE, BHSO, and ASAM standards -- and to continuously improve the care we provide.
Confidentiality & HIPAA
We strictly adhere to all HIPAA regulations and 42 CFR Part @ requirements governing the confidentiality of substance used disorder treatment records. Every client's information is handled with complete privacy and security.
